Norm Birdsall has returned as a Director for KLT's "Dearly Beloved". Many will remember when he directed the KLT production of "The Scarlett O'Hara Complex".
Norm is no newcomer to KLT. We first met him as an actor in "Come Blow Your Horn" for which he was voted, by our ticket holders, the "Best Male Supporting Actor of the Year" . He appeared with us often - "Too Soon For Daisies" as "Dr. John Hunter" and again as "Daddy Warbucks" in KLT's "Annie" And, if you are new to KLT, perhaps you have seen Norm in one of the many plays he has performed in - and - directed around the Triad.
Prior casts remember this man's preparation as a Director. He arrives at the first rehearsal with the play basically "blocked-out". Then the cast can spend the maximum amount of time developing the characters and their relationship one-to-another. Every consideration is given to having the actors "off-book" as quickly as possible and then concentration is on pacing. The end result is a fast-paced, action filled evening of fun for the audience.
