Randall C. Morris is the director of this year's Christmas production, The Christmas Bus.
Randy is a long-time KLT veteran. His first show with KLT was as Nils Krogstad in A Doll's House in 1983. He was an active volunteer with KLT, both on stage and backstage, from 1983 until 2000.
In 2000, Randy had the opportunity go back to school and finish something he started in the 1970's: a degree in Drama. ("Some people take off a year or two from school-I took a twenty-five years off.") Randy graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 from UNCG with a B. A. in Drama.
Upon graduation, Randy "turned pro" and has worked as a director or lighting designer for several theatres in the Triad, including KLT, the Gallery Players, and the Greensboro City Arts Drama Center. However, he still appears onstage occasionally as a "volunteer actor." You might remember him as Felix in Oscar and Felix (2007) or as Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind (2003).
Randy's directing credits for KLT include Lying in State, Laura, and Driving Miss Daisy. He is looking forward to directing The Christmas Bus this year. ("I think this show is going to be a lot of fun. It's a great script with wonderful roles for children and adults. I'm looking forward to auditions.")
So, "warm up those vocal cords" and "get excited".
Come out and
audition for this outstanding Director in
KLT's upcoming "The Christmas Bus".
