. . . .spark an imagination!
We continue our “Bring a Book to Life” program this year at the James Fitzpatrick Auditorium at Kernersville Elementary School with Treasure Island.
About This Project
Live theatre can jumpstart the imagination, lengthen a child’s attention span and connect to the importance of reading. A play has the ability to jump a story off the page and bring it to life. This can be a revelation to regular bookworms, but also a real benefit to reluctant readers. Children often relate to “what’s happening on stage” which makes the stage very similar, in a way, to the play acting and role playing all children do. This November, the students at Kernersville Elementary School will attend a “live” theatre production of Treasure Island. Donations and grants help support the cost of each child attending the production AND, as an added bonus, each student will receive their very own age-appropriate copy of the book. . .Treasure Island.
Receive a thank you letter from Kernersville Little Theatre and a warm and fuzzy feeling of knowing you made a difference in a child’s life AND a special thank you letter from a student. Any gift goes a long way and we can’t do it without your support!
