. . . .spark an imagination!
We continue our 4th year of our “Bring a Book to Life” program in November 2017 at the James Fitzpatrick Auditorium at Kernersville Elementary School where we will travel down the rabbit hole with Alice in Wonderland. Travel to the land of Mad Hatters, Evil Queens, and rabbits that have very important engagements in Alice in Wonderland. Encompassing the storyline from both Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass this faithful adaptation will be our 4th Annual Bring A Book to Life production, allowing our audiences to experience a change of scenery with Alice in Wonderland.
About This Project
Live theatre can jumpstart the imagination, lengthen a child’s attention span and connect to the importance of reading. A play has the ability to jump a story off the page and bring it to life. This can be a revelation to regular bookworms, but also a real benefit to reluctant readers. Children often relate to “what’s happening on stage” which makes the stage very similar, in a way, to the play acting and role playing all children do. This November, the students at Kernersville Elementary School will attend a “live” theatre production of Alice in Wonderland. Donations and grants help support the cost of each child attending the production AND, as an added bonus, each student will receive their very own age appropriate copy of the book. . . Alice in Wonderland.
Receive a thank you letter from Kernersville Little Theatre and a warm and fuzzy feeling of knowing you made a difference in a child’s life AND a special thank you letter from a student. Any gift goes a long way and we can’t do it without your support!
